For every Hub release, there is an OpenLegacy core version that is most compatible with it.
The first two parts of the core are the major versions, 4.9 or 5.0. The last digit represents the minor version, which increases with each Hub release.
Low-code projects generated by the Hub and CLI will have the OpenLegacy core as a dependency. The minor version of the core can be changed after the generation, there is no need to regenerate the project again.
When using the Hub as the source provider, this minor version value can consistently be increased to the latest core version, as it is backward compatible.
When working with OPZs as a source provider, there may be some compatibility issues with the generated OPZ and the current core version. In this case, the OPZ needs to be regenerated from the Hub or using a CLI with the new core (run ol -v to see the CLI’s core version).
